Automatic Debit Contributions

What is Automatic Debit of Contributions? 
Automatic Debit allows you to make contributions without writing checks or giving cash. 

What are the advantages of Automatic Debit? 
  • You can prioritize giving in your budget since it will be done automatically. 
  • You can increase your faithfulness with Automatic Debit. Your gift will never be forgotten or left at home. 
  • You can help your Church. Automatic Debit will help St. Andrew's to stabilize its budget. 
How is Automatic Debit automatically deducted from my account? 
Once you authorize the transfer, your specified contribution is electronically transferred directly from your checking or savings account to St. Andrew's account.

When will my contribution be deducted from my account? 
Your contribution will be deducted from your account on the dates you specify - 15th, 30th, or 15th and the 30th. 

How do I keep my checkbook balance straight if I do not write a check
Simply record the contribution in your check register on the appropriate date tbat you previously specified. 

How can I prove I made my contribution without a cancelled check? 
Your Bank statement gives you an itemized list of electronic transfers. It is your proof of contribution. St Andrew's will continue to provide quarterly contribution statements as in the past. 

Is Automatic Debit risky? 
Automatic debit is actually less risky than check contribution. It can't be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail. It has an extremely high rate of accuracy. 

What if I change bank accounts? 
Notify us and we'll give you a new authorization form to complete. 

What does Automatic Debit cost? 
It costs you nothing and saves you time. In addition, it is provided to St. Andrew's free of charge by it's bank 

What if I try Automatic Debit and don't like it? 
You can cancel your authorization by notifying us any time. But, once you've enjoyed the convenience and time savings of Automatic Debit, we doubt you'll want to go back to making contributions the way you did before. 

How do I sign up for Automatic Debit? 
Complete and sign the Authorization Form and return it to us along with a voided check or savings deposit slip. 

I currently use a Bill Pay service to pay my bills. Can I continue to contribute in the future using Bill Pay? 
Yes, no change is necessary and you do not need to complete the Authorization Form. 

How does Automatic Debit differ from Bill Pay? 
Through bill pay, contributions are set up on a recurring basis directly with your bill paying service or Bank. They then remit checks to St. Andrew's on your behalf.
