CHOIR OF ST. ANDREW’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
The Choir of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church has served the liturgical and musical needs of this parish for over one hundred years. Articles from early Fort Worth newspapers contain rosters of singers with professional musical ties to major churches of the United States. The reputation of the organization is impressive and noted throughout the sacred music life in Dallas/Fort Worth. The anthems sung range from Palestrina to the English Cathedral Anthems. Professional singers complement the members of the parish who have committed their time and talent.
Rehearsals are scheduled each Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. with free childcare available. Sunday morning rehearsals begin at 9 a.m. prior to the 10 a.m. service. Auditions are not required. Email Candace Bawcombe, Choirmaster at cbawcombe@st-andrew.com.
Choir Roster CANTERBURY CHILDREN’S CHOIR
Give your child the opportunity to sing in the historic choir stalls at St. Andrew's. We welcome your child (boy or girl – ages 6 -12) with open arms every Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. with snacks. No audition is necessary. Attendance is extremely important to build the choral skills needed to become a choral singer. Your child will become a leader in the Morning Prayer service sitting in the choir stalls as they learn to lead hymns and canticles. They will process behind the cross in order to attend Sunday School. For more information, email cbawcombe@st-andrew.com or call Ms. Bawcombe at (817) 717-1022.
