Building Women of God
Women of St. Andrew’s Ministries (WOSA)
The Women of St. Andrew’s (WOSA) are ALL of the women of St. Andrew’s Parish. We are all Women of St. Andrew’s, as parish members, as bible studiers, as altar caretakers, music lovers, knitters, needlepointers, prayer warriors, sandwich makers, book lovers, gardeners, teachers, homemakers, professionals, and as all the Lord has gifted us to be and do. Our common bond is our Savior Jesus Christ, who holds us together in sisterhood in His Body. Our desire is to glorify God by serving each other, bringing women together as one body in Christ, to praise Him, to fellowship, to learn, and to inspire each other spiritually. We invite all women to come and share God’s love with us at St. Andrew’s.
THE WOMEN OF ST. ANDREW'S MINISTRIES COUNCIL
The Women of St. Andrew's Ministries Council is a body of women composed of the leadership of St. Andrew’s Women’s Guilds and Women’s Bible Studies. Constituent organizations represented are:
Women of St. Andrew's Bible Studies
Altar Guild
St. Monica’s Guild
St. Margaret’s Guild
The Women’s Council exists to facilitate communication and organization among St. Andrew’s women in their various activities, and to foster a greater sense of unity. This enables us to work more effectively together to bring glory and honor to God in our parish and community. The Women’s Council meets four times per year to coordinate activities, plan and support events, inform the clergy and enjoy fellowship. The council sponsors “Fall Girls’ Night Out” each year in September. Additional programs and activities for all women of St. Andrew's are also organized and promoted by WOSA and the Council. Dates and times for events in Women of St. Andrew's Ministries may be found in ‘The Messenger’ and on St. Andrew's website calendar.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES
In keeping with the mission statement of St. Andrew’s Parish to disciple, equip and empower every member for ministry, St. Andrew’s Women’s Ministries will offer a weekly Bible Study on Thursday Mornings at 9:30 am and Thursday Evenings at 6:30 pm beginning January 21, 2010. We will be studying Beth Moore’s classic life changing Bible Study, “Breaking Free, the Updated Edition” In this eleven week study Beth Moore uses scripture to point out the Five Benefits the book of Isaiah says God graciously extends to all of His children: To know God and believe Him; To glorify God; To find satisfaction in God; To experience God's peace; To enjoy God's presence. We invite all women to join us and begin your journey into the New Year by setting your mind and steps on the path toward making freedom in Christ a reality in life.
Our goal as a group is rich fellowship and personal growth directed by God through His word to each woman individually. St. Andrew’s women of all ages and their friends are invited to join us as we seek to grow in our relationships with God and each other through the study of God’s word in a loving and supportive fellowship.
