How To Join

We welcome you to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church! We are so thankful that you are taken a few minutes to visit our website and we hope that you will consider making this Church your home. It is our desire to tell everyone about the great salvation won for us by the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Whether you are new to the faith, or a lifelong Episcopalian, the following questions and answers will give you the information you need to become a part of St. Andrew's Episcopal.

Q. I’ve never been to church before. How do I become a Christian and join St. Andrew's Episcopal?

Get ready for a life-changing celebration! You will be led through a process that allows you to ask your deepest questions, to commit your life by faith in Jesus Christ and to be baptized at Saint Andrews. Please contact Mr. Morse by phone (817) 717-1018.

Q. I've been baptized in a church other than the Episcopal Church. How do I become a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal?

It's very simple! Simply obtain a letter from your former church that states when your baptism took place and who administered the sacrament. A photocopy of your baptismal certificate also works. Please contact the Parish secretary, Sanda Warren, with your information. Her number is (817) 332-3191. We will then explain how you can be confirmed at the Bishop's annual visit to St. Andrew's.

Q. If I’m a member of another Episcopal church, how do I become a member of St. Andrew's?

Simply contact our Church office at (817) 332-3191 and give Sanda Warren the name of your previous church, and we will do the rest!

Q. What if I am a member of the Roman Catholic or Orthodox Church?

We simply ask you to provide evidence of Christian baptism: a copy of your baptismal certificate or a letter from a former parish. Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians are 'received' into our Church by the Bishop at his annual visit to the Church. We highly encourage that you plan to attend one of our DISCO (short for "Discovery") classes, to learn more about the riches of our Anglican life together. Please contact the Rector, Dr. Bill Dickson for the dates and times. (817) 332-3191.

Q. What is expected of me as a member of St. Andrew's Parish?

The Book of Common Prayer says it best: "My bounden duty is to follow Christ, to worship God every Sunday in his Church; and to work and pray and give for the spread of his kingdom."
